Luke14:12 - 14 -- "Then said he (Jesus) also to him that bade him, When thou makest a dinner or a supper, call not thy friends, nor thy brethren, neither thy kinsmen, nor thy rich neighbors; lest they also bid thee again, and a recompence be made thee. But when thou makest a feast, call the poor, the maimed, the lame, the blind: And thou shalt be blessed; for they cannot recompense thee: for thou shalt be recompensed at the resurrection of the just."

God put these scriptures on my heart about 2 months ago. We are now putting them into practice at some of the churches here. The format is this: to have a few songs, share a movie about the life of Jesus and the gospel, a testimony by one of the church members, and finally the gospel message "live" one last time. So far, two churches have held this banquet for the poor, sick, retarded, single mothers, and widows or their neighborhood. San Jose Alto Baptist Church held theirs first, and there were about thirty "guests". Candelaria Baptist church was the next, and went all out, as you will see below in the photos. Not only did we do the scheduled things, but the church provided "take home" bags of dried and canned food. We also provided reading glasses to those in need, thanks to Dr. Weeden from Corinth, MS. Andrea and a school friend, as well as Diego Leon (one of my ministry partners) helped serve the folks.

What a blessing this has been, and we look forward to the next one on the 10th of December at Parada Siete Baptist Church!
