Mission: Ecuador

This was our one day to visit the coastal rain forest. we had planned to visit "Tony's Place", as we had last year (see the Thursday entry from last year's page), but the roads were very dangerous due to lots of rain. So we elected to go to "Septimo Paraiso", a hotel nestled in the rain forest near Mindo. It is an incredibly beautiful area, and God's creation was clearly evident to us all. We enjoyed exotic birds, plants, and flowers; getting to go on a nice hike on a jungle trail.

Later that evening, we returned to "San Jose Alto" Baptist church for a time of fellowship and supper. The Prather family was surprised by a touching moment in which the church gave their son, Elijah a birthday cake and sang happy birthday to him.
