This was our final day, and we spent it in a community where I had never ministered before. It is about 2 hours north of Quito, in a very traditionally Quichua area. They had never had an eye doctor visit the community before. Tupigachi was rich with tradition and artisans. Their specialty is hand-stitching. They are also the community that still wears the traditional clothing for the most part; more than any other I work with. It was fascination and rewarding to work with them. We attended about 140 people, and had a wonderful final service before heading home for the last time.
