Banquet for the Poor
God continues to bless this ministry.Luke14:12 - 14 -- "Then said he (Jesus) also to him that bade him, When thou makest a dinner or a supper, call not thy friends, nor thy brethren, neither thy kinsmen, nor thy rich neighbors; lest they also bid thee again, and a recompence be made thee. But when thou makest a feast, call the poor, the maimed, the lame, the blind: And thou shalt be blessed; for they cannot recompense thee: for thou shalt be recompensed at the resurrection of the just."

Small Groups for Men
We are involved in small groups to build accountability, leadership skills, and Christian maturity in three of the churches so far. This is an interactive format, held during the week to build the men of the church. The men are all progressing incredibly well! We continue praying about the next churches that might start a group.
A team from Tishomingo Chapel Baptist church in Corinth, Mississippi came to Ecuador to visit their sister church, San Jose Alto Baptist church. It was a wonderful time, and all received blessings! Please visit the web page to get a complete "picture" of the event. It was wonderful to see them interacting on a more intimate level, and really enjoying each other. Cultural barriers were definitely broken, and love within the body of Christ was as it should be, disregarding all differences of race, culture, and even continent!
Dr. Weeden from Tate Baptist church in Corinth, Mississippi along with his wife and brother came and worked at 5 different churches here giving eye care, and sharing the gospel. We attended around 900 people in 3 distinctly different communities of Ecuador. Please visit their webpage to see all the exciting pictures and read the stories.
Melissa was elected representative queen for the 11th grade to a school event called "Queen's Court", where one couple is elected from each grade to be "King and Queen". She has also been elected an official "OANSA" (that's AWANA for us in English) leader at Iglesia Bautista Univeritaria (University Baptist Church) where we attend. She had a group of the older girls over for a small party in March.
