The Lost Up the Road
As you may know, one of the main reasons for helping build Linaje Escogido Church is to have a center of operations for the lost communities that are farther up in the mountains. It is the last Evangelical church up this long and windy cobblestone road, with at least four other communities beyond it where the gospel has not take root. The first community, about a mile up the road, is "Cangahua Pungo". The second is "Chaupistancia", another mile beyond. The last one is "Monte Serin Alto" at 12,000 ft (with others in between). We have begun our visits to Cangahua Pungo with small teams of national missionaries, trying to get cell groups started. The areas are so sensitive that it would incite physical persecution if you held anything like open air or public outreach.

Chaupistancia

This is where pastor Sixto tried to start a church some years back, but was run out of town by persecution (in Chaupistancia)
