Templo del Dios Viviento more commonly known as "Parada Siete", (name of the area) is the youngest of the churches that Pastor Pedro Vasquez has planted; about 9 years years old. As with most of the churches, it is in the Calderon area. This is one of the smallest and least advanced of the 6 "daughter" churches. They have about 60 members. The Pastor is Pedro Alberto Tashintuña Guanar. They have completed their 3 month training program on Evangelism through "Project: Great Commission" in May 2005. They are also very excited about their new "sister church" - Glendale Baptist Church from Corinth, MS.

Inside the church is simple, with a cement floor and a few wooden benches and plastic lawn chairs... but very accomodating. It is open and large enough for growth.
The stage area is colorful with wall murals as is the custom; simple and beautiful.

Here is the outside front of the church, the church office, where they hold classes for 200 neighborhood kids through the help of "Compassion International", and a final classroom construction project.
Community Outreach Weekend
We held an outreach weekend, as a graduation of sorts for the completion of a 3 month program on "how to share your faith" for the laypeople of the church.
A big part of the outreach was to show a Christian movie in the evenings to attract the neighbors. Putting up the screen was one adventure. Protecting the equipment from the rain was an interesting challenge as well...
The site prepared, the pastor speaks to the pastor of the "mother church" as we wait for the time to start.
There were a number of groups who played Christian music in the afternoon, with testimonies in between.
Here are some of the interesting faces that showed up that afternoon in this rural neighborhood and were blessed by music, testimonies, and the gospel.
After the movie in the evening, one final person shared their testimony, and another the gospel using the "Roman Road" presentation.
